Five-year IT managed services contract signed

November 26, 2010 Product News

Lyceum Capital, an independent investment firm that invests in innovative and growing mid-sized UK-headquartered businesses, has signed a five-year deal with Business Systems Group (BSG), an Advanced Computer Software Group plc company. BSG is now Lyceum Capital’s sole IT partner, hosting and supporting its entire IT infrastructure from desktop and mobile phones through to the data centre.

Lyceum Capital was previously supported by two different IT providers – one managing the firm’s back-end infrastructure and the other dedicated to supporting its core application, Microsoft Dynamics CRM. As Lyceum Capital continued to grow, it became evident that this arrangement was not sufficient for the IT demands of a dynamic organisation.

Andrew Aylwin, partner at Lyceum Capital, says, “The team started feeling that we were being held back rather than enabled by our IT systems. We needed a single, reliable supplier that could be trusted to provide our growing organisation with a robust IT infrastructure. After evaluating the market, we selected BSG as our IT partner as the company has a proven track record for delivery and a strong customer service ethic.”

BSG will provide Lyceum Capital with an end-to-end IT support service from the desktop to the data centre including CRM and mobile phone support, service desk, managed Citrix desktop, managed Microsoft Exchange 2010 email, systems monitoring, storage and backup. The firm’s systems will be hosted at BSG’s data centre where they will be accessible to Lyceum Capital users 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Andrew Aylwin adds, “We look forward to BSG providing us with a reliable and flexible IT infrastructure that can keep pace with our requirements.”
